if you haven't seen these films already, i highly suggest you do before they take them off the site on Oct. 21.  they are short films produced, directed and acted by some pretty big hollywood names.  one of them even won an award for best short action in the LA film festival.

A video on a design competition to build the best wildlife crossing for a highway in Colorado. It's 12 min long but definitely worth a look. This can definitely apply to many parts of the world (including large parts of Canada). I especially like the multi-disciplinary nature of how the different design teams came up with a potential solution. Ecologists, engineers and landscape architects (just to name a few), came together to propose a design. More of the world's problems need this type of design collaboration.
