jimmy carter's nobel prize speech
When Jimmy Carter won his Nobel Peace Prize in 2002, I read his speech in the Star and was especially captivated by this line:
"War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other's children."
Today I found out, he was actually given that line from a 12 year kid who passed away in 2004: http://www.mattieonline.c om/index.htm
Pretty impressive...
